A fat reduction and skin tightening technique that contours your face
What is FaceTite?
FaceTite is a new procedure that is comparable to a surgical facelift, without the large scars. FaceTite provides dramatic improvement in skin laxity on the face and neck, which was previously only attainable through a surgical procedure such as a facelift. FaceTite utilizes minimally invasive radio frequency energy to melt fat and contour skin.
How is FaceTite performed?
FaceTite treatments are performed under local anesthesia with sedation. Once the patient has been numbed, a small hole is made in the skin at the edge of the jaw just below the ear. The incision is minimal and will not leave behind a scar after healing. A thin probe is then inserted beneath the skin to provide thermal energy to the underlying tissues of the face. The probe is capped off with a plastic tip to prevent accidental skin perforation and unnecessary damage. After the probe has been inserted, an external electrode is placed overtop the outer skin. The probe and the electrode work in unison to create a contained thermal field that simultaneously targets the outer and inner layers of the skin for a comprehensive treatment. The FaceTite devices are slowly moved along the jawline, liquefying fat and contracting the collagen and elastin in the skin along the way. The FaceTite system is equipped with numerous safeguards that provide active monitoring of the skin’s external and internal temperatures, ensuring the treatment is safe, precise, and effective.
How long is the procedure?
Each zone will take approximately 15 minutes of treatment. The entire procedure can take around one hour.
Is it right for me? Who is a candidate?
FaceTite is ideal for individuals who have a mild to moderate loss of tone of the skin along the jaw border and in the neck. This manifests itself as early jowls and loss of the crisp definition of the neck.
Is FaceTite safe?
FaceTite is completely safe and has been cleared for use by the FDA. The technology measures the temperature of your skin during treatment and will automatically shut off the radio frequency energy if it gets too hot. This means that there’s no risk of burning your skin.
What areas can be treated?
Any areas on the face and neck with saggy skin can be treated. This includes double chins, jowls, nasolabial folds, and other areas with deep lines and loose skin. Some of the specific areas include:
- Sagging jowls and neck skin
- Wrinkles and fine lines in the lower face
- Submental fullness beneath the chin
- Marionette lines around the mouth
- Decreased collagen and elastin production
What is the downtime?
Depending on the treatment area, downtime can be from 1-2 days up to 10 days.
Why should I choose FaceTite over a facelift?
By avoiding a facelift procedure with the large incisions, patients will benefit from reduced post-procedural swelling and discomfort. This is a less traumatic process with a natural looking final result.
When will I see results?
Results can be seen immediately, with best results noticeable after 6 weeks, and continuing up to 12 months.
